There are differences in how men stand before God in the light of the kinds of sins that place them in different relationships of how God responds to them. We are all corrupted but we are not all as corrupted as we possibly could be. Men look at the outward but God looks at the heart. Gods ways are not mans ways, and Gods determination according to His standard of justice is very different than the ways of man.It is a common fact that men tend to stray from the path of righteousness from birth. They scheme against God and refuse to come into the light, because they are evil. However, it must be noted that God's system of justice is always right. He looks at the hearts of men and sees their thoughts, and there is no one who thinks righteously. All men have made a god of themselves. They are idol makers who plot against the ways of God to catch the helpless in their schemes. They determine to spite the goodness of God, and make their own system of power. But God looks at the righteous and saves them from the schemes of men.The justice of God is not based on human standards. God is determined that His Son receives all of the glory. Therefore, God's standards are based on how all men stand in relation to His Son. Since there is no one who is good, men must have a new righteousness in order to be always under the protection and eternal love of God.Jesus is the only good man, and all other men are good only because of Him. The world, with all of its scheming, is determined to slight God's goodness, but God, by the righteousness of His Son, is working to keep His own who are protected by Christ's name alone from the schemes of wicked men.Since there are different types of sin, and some are worse than others in terms of how they affect our relationship with Christ, then God deals with us in different ways accordingly. The most serious sin of all is attributing the works of Christ to the devil. This is what self-righteous people do when they try to trap the poor into their schemes by rejecting the only righteous Savior and putting a heavy yoke on these helpless sheep. There is only one law that stands as supreme, and is the cause of all goodness in the universe.The law of Love states that repentance, faith, and works are the only gracious source of salvation. This source comes from God's eternal love, expressed through His eternal decrees. All of God's dealings with humanity stand in relation to our spiritual affections towards Christ. Our salvation and sanctification come from loving the Lord our God with all of our hearts, souls, minds, and strength.But men become fools by constantly rejecting Christ. And so God deals more harshly with those who harden their hearts by not having the righteousness of Christ as their only plea. This is why blasphemy is such a terrible relationship to Christ.  men hate Him so much that they would attribute His good works and miracles to Satan.
