There are certain types of threats that are considered to be legitimate and righteous. These threats come in the form of curses that are found in the law. Expressing righteous anger through the use of curses is a way of communicating with God and asking for His love and judgement. The wicked often curse the righteous, but they are ultimately responsible for their own actions according to the law of God.When people curse, they do so from a position of power and dominance. When righteous people curse, they do so because they have a right under the law of God to do so, as God has said He would do on behalf of the righteous. If God demands absolute allegiance from idols, then He would be denying Himself if He were to say that hating idols is not acceptable to Him.We do not accept contradictions in regards to the mysteries of God because it is not logical to do so. It does not make sense to believe that God is both a God of love who keeps His promises, and a God of judgement who punishes the reprobate. To believe in any other power would be to have a split mind. There is only one place where anger can be extinguished: in the curses we offer to God as His children, expressing it to Him as He has defined what is acceptable. We live in the reality of God, who is present, while the rest of mankind is blind and does not understand. It does not matter that God curses law breakers; our activity in our approach to God does not translate to them. They curse to destroy other men, but we curse to bring peace.
