The gift of salvation is one that enables us to be cared for in every aspect of our lives. All that we are and all that we have is through the grace of God, and so we must not think that anything belongs to us specifically. Instead, we should remember that God is the owner of all, even the cattle on a thousand hills. Why, then, did God give us this gift if we are not the owners of it?Because God wants all the glory, we cannot take credit for the gifts he has given us. We can only take pride in ourselves if we take pride in Christ. There is nothing wrong with boasting about God's greatness. This gift is not primarily for our moral ability, but for our encouragement. We are caught in between the great war of the heavens, between God and Satan, or his ruling through the high places. The concept of God as governor implies that there is a conflict between the divine will and the earthly kingdoms. The teaching of grace is therefore not just a religious teaching, but also a political one. Because of grace, God has a special place for the poor and helpless in a political sense, not just in a religious sense. Grace is the language that God uses to recreate. Man is born in rebellion and God has established absolute freedom for man because of grace. But man has twisted God's plan of salvation by grace and has sought to establish his own government through destructive means. Because man will not submit to God, he goes out against his neighbor. Every man who makes himself a god will subdue everyone in order to achieve his own desires. According to God's word, He bestows His grace upon all the earth. God does not allow man to achieve his own desires, but instead reorders society through curses and blessings. He brings the plans of the wicked to naught and establishes the desires of the righteous.
