Salvation is a life of transparency before God. A man can be moral and have never encountered God. We must be familiar with Gods mysterious reactions in the creation. Psalms 18:17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me." God shifts our eyes outward. Teaching we must fight sin remain not the exclusive focus of the Psalms. 38 19" Many are those who are my vigorous enemies; those who hate me without reason are numerous."Psalms 55:18 He ransoms me unharmed from the battle waged against me, even though many oppose me." Salvation is a completed renovation of our souls. Psalms 31:8"You have not handed me over to the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place."  We are undoubtedly going from one deliverance of our outward enemies to another. God calls by the pronouncements, delivers and honors Himself. "Will honor me" Psalms 50:15 and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me." As Christ place Himself into Gods hands on the cross, so we place ourselves in His hands to reliably deliver us. Psalms 31:15"My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me." God faithfully delivers us graciously according to His covenant promises by pronouncements and not our moral righteousness. God achieves the completed work in Himself to deliver us from "all" our sin. Psalms 130:8 "He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins."" He Himself" God judges everything in Himself. Psalms 50:6"And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for God himself is judge."He cannot fail in justifying the saints or would deny Himself. We are not delivered by our obedience but by definitive sanctification. God diligently seeks us. Psalms 4:3"Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD will hear when I call to him." We are dependent on God to rescue and deliver us. He says to himself, Psalms 10:11 "God has forgotten; he covers his face and never sees." As a dead man is dependent on God to breath restored life and instantly raise him from the grave so we are dependent on God to be delivered. Psalm 49:15" But God will redeem my life from the grave; he will surely take me to himself." The Psalmist is carefully teaching we must depend on eternal decrees in the Psalms to candidly confess our functional dependence and be sure He will reliably deliver us.Psalms 38:15" I wait for you, O LORD; you will answer, O Lord my God." We cannot be obedient unless we are confessing the decrees of dependence. Psalms 119:166"I wait for your salvation, O LORD, and I follow your commands." When we pronouce the moral axioms we are properly communicating with God graciously according to His direct reactions. Psalm 14:2 "The LORD looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God"
