Ps 29 1 Ascribe to the LORD, O potent ones, impute to the LORD glory and strength. 2 Impute to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness."The Psalmist is describing the godly power and the eternal peace that comes from the magnific throne of heaven. This ineluctable separation between eternal heaven and earth is common to the habituated man. You witness this in our nervous response to the rainfall disasters that chance in our excited lives. We reply defensively with helpless wrathfulness and fear when there's a destructive hurricane or a raging deluge. But when we examine the old testament narrative, we widely fete that God eternally orders the climactic events on the earth in the direct view of all of the angelic beings. This Chorale is uniquely describing the applicable response of the potent angels and all of those present before the throne as the frequent lightning with violent winds produce the inconceivable disaster on the earth. God is EL who's the Almighty Godly creator of all literal time. We must imperfectly understand that sin brought in the perverse responses to the climactic events of Godly creation that were ordered by God as He traditionally led Israel to the promise land. There's a vast gulf between the insuperable will of God peacefully exercised from heaven and the finite constraints of woeful time. This is why all of these massive disasters are mysterious to us. Accordingly, God is always acting through creation to beget man to widely admit the Godly mystery of His attributes. He's gently advising helpless saints to rest in His unfathomable power of the disaster that produces silent peace. Before man fell the fruitful earth was in harmony with all of mans solicitations. Man was adequately equipped to rule creation with the word in the implanted law of God. Sin brought in the curse which is the pressure of two opposing governments. This Chorale is precisely tutoring that these disasters of magnific creation are the emotional display of Gods curses. These disasters not only beget ruin, but they incite fear and dread in heathen man. The question is also if Gods ultimate purpose is to reliably deliver man also why does He inflict destruction on mans kingdom? And if God instantly produces this terrible pressure of the eternal curse also why do the Heavenly beings praise and glorify God? There are two moral axioms the Psalmist is tutoring. The first is God mustn't hide the unnatural consequences that are necessary result of sin. God must produce profound mystery in order for us to willingly abandon our realistic results. We must learn to be comfortable with no satisfactory answers. We're gently advised that revenge rightfully belongs to God. We must avoid quick answers and practical results to the problems that are brought about by the eternal curse. The Old Testament narrative of Gods expansive dealings with Israel is through the eternal judgements that established relative safety as they traveled to the promise land. As they traveled through the dangerous home, there were two independent coalitions of people. The prophet teaches the false religionists will be mixed in with saints until Christ returns and triumphantly brings in the ultimate judgment. The Psalmist advises us all of the Gods dealings with Israel demanded saving faith. Accordingly, God had to be seen as majestic by producing these disasters that needed saints to come comfortable with living in mystery. God can not equitably partake His glory with any ruined man. The tares among the wheats couldn't accept the demand to admit that deliverance was in God alone. They trusted in their service might, their own wisdom, their fleshly offerings, and their brutal strength in acquiring the minor effects of life. But the verity is that God had to efficiently manage hundreds of thousands of alarmed people on a prolonged visit without the proper function of mans government. The exclusive way they could willingly endure was by a direct intervention of God in these big rainfall events, and the direct response from heaven in supplying them with manna. This is why the author of Hebrews says that It's insolvable to please God without saving faith. You widely fete the verity we're each without sufficient strength and peace unless God instantly orders everything that transpires. The exclusive way to help the unsupportable pressure of living in pragmatism is the speak law, covenants, curses, comprehensive bills, eternal rulings and gracious pledges. We must be miraculously converted in the auspicious station of our conscious minds. We must really discover that line of blessing and cursing. That sacred place of godly mystery where there's no acute pressure. The overpowering display of the curse of the fierce winds and the frequent lightning triumphantly brought about the abundant blessing of extraordinary strength and eternal peace to Gods people. It isn't for us to justly condemn men. The eternal curse of the moral law overcomes the curse of man. It's Gods operation of His law that sparks eternal commination. We must first be concerned for their social well- being.
