It is dangerous to teach there is only one kind of confession of sin. The theme in the Psalms is not sin but the problem of the curse. Salvation is confessing law, covenants, curses, decrees in the state of blessing. We are required to many confessions of identity to avoid idols.

The most obnoxious rebel is a person who teaches a doctrinal system, who insist he is not an idol worshiper. Yet he will not acknowledge the hundreds of confessions in the Psalms. He is only dogmatic on confessing sin.

A saint is a novice in identity without an extensive experience of all the confessions in the Psalms. Its logical we have no way to understand who we are unless we confess who we are as it is written by God Himself. Unless you know the confessions you have an idolatrous heart.

The Christian experience is knowing God and oneself. The only way to know is by  word and Spirit. The Psalmist confesses, law, covenants, curses etc in the context of personal identity. God is very detailed because we go off the reservation very quickly.

"The sorrows of those who worship other gods will increase.  I'm not going to drink the wine that they make from the blood of the animal sacrifices or to say their names out loud.  If we take refuge in the axioms, then the specific problem with sin, idolatry, is part of the moral teaching.  God does not count our sins for what we do.

If he is teaching we take refuge in the axioms, the specific problem with sin that naturally causes us to be idolatrous is part of the moral teaching?  We must not try to understand God's thoughts or what He does.

Salvation means going from bondage to sin and law in a state of cursing to a state of blessing. We no longer know our sin. 11 You have opened the way of life for me; in your presence you will fill me with joy, eternal pleasures at your right hand. "

Sin is just a part of human nature, and we know that from the Bible. But if we blame sin for practicing idolatry, we would need to go outside the idolatrous world.  Sin is not a germ that we can catch. We cannot condemn the world for letting us like idols.

Salvation is going from sin and law to blessing.  God has washed us of our sin and made us clean.  Thank you for teaching me the path to life. I'm going to feel really happy when I'm with you. I'm going to have a lot of fun and I'm going to enjoy life.

This is why the struggle is with our cursed condition.  God made the pronouncements of the curses/curses to keep our hearts/our hearts free of idols. I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips.

In salvation God changes us, so we have new desires.  I will praise the Lord, who guides me; even in the dark, my brain can still tell me what to do.  I have always put God first. Because he's on my right, I won't let myself be shaken."

I won't pour out the drinks of the wicked because now I have a secure place. My heart tells me that everything is okay. God is at my side and my body will also lie down with certainty.

We typically need all the candid confessions of the Psalms to try to explain why we are suffering and why we need to be saved from our sin.

You have shown me the way to live; I am comforted by your presence and filled with joy. I enjoy pleasures for all time.

16 4 "The sorrows of those will increase who run after other gods.I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips." Why the Psalmist doesn't include the specific problem with our private sin in this Psalm? If he is carefully teaching we take refuge in the axioms the specific problem with sin that naturally causes us to be idolatrous be part of the moral teaching? We must understand God does not count our sins. Salvation is going from bondage to sin and law in a state of cursing to a state of blessing. We are no longer identified by our sin. 11 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." But we know the Psalmist teaches sin is a part of our nature. But if we blame sin for practicing idolatry, we would need to go out of the idolatrous world. But sin is not a virus we catch. We cannot condemn the world for making us love idols. This is why he teaches the struggle is with our cursed condition. God gave the pronouncements of the curses to keep our hearts free of idols. 4"I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips." Because we are in the state of blessing any confession is an act of repentance. The Psalmist includes the confession of sin and the curse in 2 I said to the Lord, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing." In salvation God destroys our old will and gives us new desires. 7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. 8 I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." The Psalmist is confessing his new identity in refuge of being in the state of blessing by apart from you I have no good thing, saints are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight, sorrows of the wicked will increase, I will not pour out their libations, you have made my lot secure, I have a delightful inheritance, my heart instructs me, the Lord is at my right hand and my body also will rest secure. These candid confessions define out blessed state he accurately describes in 11 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." Rather than confessing sin in each psalm, we are in a state of blessing subjected to the old cursed dispositions. We typically need all the candid confessions of the Psalms to adequately defend ourselves from willingly suffering an idolatrous heart.
