When the world makes laws that go against God's laws, the greedy and lawless (people who care only about profit) control the money. Contract with thieves. Money that's obtained from a world that's corrupt can be stolen by thieves. When you make more money, the chances of becoming a victim of theft increases.

 People can't trust the world to take care of their money because people can't trust the world.  The more money you make, the more thieves they want to take from you.

The rich have the power to decide what the law says, so they can get away with more crimes. But poor people who do not have private money are protected from constant exposure. 

Sometimes its better to be in a safe place than to be successful.

If you are in a place where there are a lot of people, you are more likely to be robbed.

A poor man who has no private money is protected from getting exposed. The one exposed with money will inevitably face thieves' fines.

The proverbs is not an ancient book that addresses our problems. It is very detailed on the specific problems we face in a wicked world. It reduces problems to the simple gospel. Because we are naturally greedy and will find any excuse to avoid the simplicity.
