Humans are unable to meet God's standard of eternal righteousness.  Since the fall, men have been alienated from God and emotionally addicted to physical, emotional and spiritual corruption. Men are slaves to sin and will be judged by God in an eternal state.  God's enemies are fighting men.  When men were born, they didn't know everything about God, so they started a plan to understand everything about Him.  They are in a dark place without God.  Jesus Christ is not a nice name.  People don't like it when anything refers to God.  People have a hard time being happy. Because they are not loving, they are without natural affection.  Men are always in a state of death because God has the power to condemn them.God is always holy so that He never changes.  If God is present anywhere, then everyone has to live very holy lives. Men do not only commit the sin which is a deliberate affront to God's personal holiness, but they are unable to satisfy the righteous demands. They do not understand how their actions made Him angry, and they have no idea how bad He is.Any man who thinks God will be pleased with him will suffer the crushing blow of His eternal wrath.  He will hit against the rocks. God is angry.  What man can stand up to God's eternal demands?God is so holy that people who have had a close encounter with Him often end up feeling devastated. The more a man is close to God, the more confused he gets about what's right. God's holiness is crushing.God will make people feel really bad. God will punish people forever because He is eternal. When God's judgment comes, men will drink the deep cup of His wrath.  God's wrath is present where there is no atonement for sin.  God is angry and he is judging the world. He is pouring out His wrath on men who are under the threat of death.God is just.  There is no hiding from God's judgment.  God is sad about all the bad things people do.  We feel sad when we see how things in the world are changing and we know we won't be able to enjoy them in the future.  The sadness we feel is mixed with happiness because we know we will feel happy again after we find a way to help the people who need help.  We are not hopeless.  God gives us more graces as we grow up.
