Salvation did not begin on the cross. It began in the eternal counsel of God. The cross reconciled all times, past and present. In every event before the cross, the whole redeeming value of a cause or event is spoken in a confrontation, such as curse on blessings, hatred of love, sadness on joy, because all saving effects come through the eternal spoken Trinitarian word of God.In God's terms, the cross, which was an event, was the predestined remedy in His counsels from eternity.
God is spirit and has no body like man; there is no time or place where God does not fully exist as ruler over all things; Christ is the eternal Son of God; before the foundation of the world in the counsel of God. God decided that Christ would enter the world to save his people from their sins. It was ordained by God, and it was irrevocable.Just as God exists, his word is sure and firm. Christ, present in the Old Testament, ruled over all the earth as Lord. He established his rule by entering the history of Israel to be the Savior whom the Father looked upon. Father focused on Christ, then Israel was resurrected and saved.
God has no body parts, but is described with human parts for our understanding. The Old Testament saints had the indwelling Spirit.God not only acted in their sight, touch, taste, or hearing from heaven to earth, but also responded in the hearts of the saints as Christ were in their place. Enjoy. He is closely involved. Our desires become the desires of Christ. Because Christ acted on behalf of his people, responding to all of their needs as their image of themselves reflected that He is the answer, they had salvation like us. That only Christ saves them, and they experienced success in this life.
