The psalmist humbly offers God his impending needs as an evening meal offering. He argues with God that the real dangers he resolutely faces are life threatening. He argues that it is equally valuable to properly place one's life in the guiding hands of God. As if one were offering a sacrifice or a grain offering to God. The apostle says that we face many trials with determination in this life. These trials are deliberately permitted by God to strengthen our faith. But because we live in a ruined world with Satan working against us, we are vulnerable. be seriously damaged for life. The psalmist describes this in the psalms as a trap set by the wicked.

The Psalms are basically not a guide book. They are not only registered to provide mutual encouragement. The Psalms are more than direct encouragement to God's elect. They consist of pronouncements and calls that instruct us to escape from the trap. Or the wound that will scar us for life. The psalms are a heartfelt plea for us to move from one miraculous deliverance to the next as the psalmist faced death in the heat of the moment, comparing Israel's wars to the daily responsibilities of public life.

We are sufficiently instructed in Psalm 1 that if we do not ponder the eternal law, covenants, curses, comprehensive statutes, sacred promises, and divine ordinances, from the counsel of the wicked to the way of the wicked, and sooner or later sit comfortably in the mocker's seat. The psalms are written to know ourselves and God.

The psalmist teaches to avoid uttering words that promote the culture that will eventually ensnare the saints. Every day he draws closer to God through the words of the law, covenants, etc. Therefore, he says, “Keep my mouth shut. The words spoken in this world promote a culture of danger that ensnares the saints. They carefully mark how the world treats the disabled. Inevitably, he sees God purposely turning the world upside down to focus relentlessly on the weak and helpless.

We think of course that the world is controlled by daily activity and work, but the Psalms inform us that the tangible world is a war of desires, it is a miraculous creation of God morally opposed to the violent desires of the wicked. Man is who he is because of the images he composes. Therefore, in the face of possible pitfalls such as the wishes of the wicked, the psalmist prays: "Do not give the wicked their wishes, O Lord; do not let their plans succeed, or they will become proud." Hence, the psalms are proclamations that shape the world through sincere desires. The psalmist teaches that the prayers offered to God in these proclamations are the way He communicates; they free you from the words spoken in the world that trap the helpless. The psalms are given to redeem God's people.
