The Father spoke of all things in order to exist. The Son is the exact image of the father. Without the Son, no created thing would be the correct image. The Holy Spirit hovered over creation and breathed new life into it. The Father is the judge, the Son, the image. And the Spirit, giver of new life through the word of creation. Our salvation is not a process. It is the world of the Trinity that brings eternal life out of eternal death. The law says eternal death to lawbreakers. To fully satisfy the Son, he had to do the full work of our salvation. Since our Father Judge was satisfied by his Son, the Spirit is our outspoken defender, who uses the word of salvation profitably in rebirth.
The Spirit adequately represents us in this world. Without the Spirit and the Holy Word, we would not survive. We are questioned critically without effective defense. The Father baptized Christ with the Spirit when he entered his sacred ministry. The Spirit empowered Christ, through violent temptations, miracles, and through the exercise of his divine authority, to pronounce the eternal kingdom of God over the Roman government and the unreliable religious system of the violent world. He promised that at the coming of the Holy Spirit he would faithfully baptize the Church with divine power. The Church miraculously survives on the gifts of the Father given by the Spirit.
The Spirit does not ask anyone to do their work satisfactorily. empower the saint by grace according to His gifts. The apostle carefully teaches that we cannot be official members of the covenant unless the Spirit conquers our flesh. He teaches that our identity as stable overcomers is successfully realized through the Spirit. We have no reason to go back to the previous life; God dwelt in us; we have the sovereign Spirit doing what it wills in us in grace according to the eminent gifts; Our considerable success in this world is faithfully pursued by our advocate, who restores our excellent reputation and speaks eloquently for us in this wicked world. The sovereign Spirit empowers us to do all that God has spoken for us.
