Ps 65 1 Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion;
for you our vows are fulfilled.
O you who hear the prayer,
all men will come to you.
When we were overwhelmed by sin,
You forgave our transgressions.

God makes covenants with crooked and rebellious people. The psalmist teaches that God continually preserves creation and forgives his covenant people. Although God is always faithful to his word and covenant, we cannot say that. Can we keep our vows without atonement? It teaches that all human beings live before the faithful God has to come to him for atonement. All people come to go to confession. God not only atones for our sins, but sustains creation. He chose the saints to be faithful when he is faithful. There would be no unity or loyalty in the nation. God had to choose us before the world was founded so that we would not become covenant violators and destroy the nation. He stops us through his eternal cover of sin.Since God sustains creation every day, we recite this psalm with confidence that God will guide us. We need to know that God is more willing to cover up our rebellion than to adhere to the perfect stand
