But the animation is the gracious source of all underlying communications of the supernatural desires of the spirit living in serene security. On the venerable face of this confusing world  

Quickening is the continuous flow of reality of divine power, benevolent affection, and supernatural longings. The repentant soul can draw understanding from this deep source of divine communication. The holy word is received and implanted as the supernatural source of life and the flow of the attributes of God that are poured into union with Christ.  

Christ has authority over all powers; we are eternally caught in the immediate presence of Christ going up, down and up; the understanding of the saints is under the rule of all possible things that come together in Christ; our spiritual longings for the effects of the soul go beyond the communication of the forces of the world.
