Ps 17 1 Hear, O Lord, my righteous plea;listen to my cry.Give ear to my prayer--it does not rise from deceitful lips. 2 May my vindication come from you;" The Psalmist is teaching apart from the pronouncements we merely offer God an unrighteous plea. The key theme of this Psalm We avoid the violent schemes of sinners by pronouncing the accurate recreation graciously according to law, covenants, curses, decrees, statutes and promises. We devise a plan without the pronouncements naturally making ourselves god.Incorrect thinking leads to misuse of language. The Psalmist is teaching this scheme we naturally develop is violence to our neighbor. Violence is ensnaring our neighbor. Man is natural creators of a cultist following.  2 May my vindication come from you;may your eyes see what is right.3 Though you probe my heart and examine me at night, though you test me, you will find nothing;I have resolved my mouth will not sin." We would naturally think our vindication typically comes from the works we faithfully perform in our justified condition. But this is a apparent reversal of that standard logic. He teaches when you amply justify by authoritative pronouncements  will see what is right. He is teaching our cognitive ability to control law according to our vindication comes from our apparent inability to control the authoritative pronouncements. When we have tight control of limits, we do violence to our neighbor. We are dominated by the people when we willingly resign ourselves to their arbitrary limits. The apostle says."Who has bewitched you?" If you think about all the saints over the years who persistently fail to worship God according to the authoritative pronouncements it is stunning to witness the amount of divine grace God gives to the saints".8 Keep me as the apple of your eye;hide me in the shadow of your wings 9 from the wicked who assail me,from my mortal enemies who surround me.10 They close up their callous hearts, and their mouths speak with arrogance.11 They have tracked me down, they now surround me, with eyes alert, to throw me to the ground.12 They are like a lion hungry for prey, like a great lion crouching in cover."Speaking the pronouncements is like shooting the arrow and hitting the bullseye. The apple of Gods eye is the effective communication that adamantly opposes the violent speech that hunts, surrounds and bitterly assails the gentle saints. God made us fine china in pronouncing life and death to preserve our child like innocence. His authoritative pronouncements are ridiculously good for our proper understanding and far worse than we could naturally imagine. The gentle saints are the most uncontrolling likely people on the earth because they pronounce eternal axioms beyond human control. This is how we miraculously escape the terrible injuries of wicked men who practice spying and intentionally injuring their victims. All men are surrendered to personality cults.
