We live in eternity. We experience the corrosive effects of the curse which will end in personal death. No one genuinely wants to be reduced vicariously experiencing the local pain of the curse. If we live vicariously in eternity is the pain just from our unique view of time and space or is it the palpable feeling of learned helplessness? My point remains the metaphysical presence of death is to experience no hope. I believe genuine anxiety is suffering a lack of comforting assurance that Gods divine sovereignty is the pure line of blessing and cursing. Gods sovereignty represents not just a sincere hope that there will be no evident pain in the promising future but everything that transpires on this earth is ordered because He is absolutely faithful and done.
Why would we feel threatened by this pure line of cursing and blessing? Because we take it upon ourselves through our own understanding assigning pragmatic reasons. This is our personal inclination to believe we are autonomous. We in fact believe we are qualified to live with the pure line of good and bad through our particular strength. But genuine freedom is rising up to Gods absolute pronouncement of blessing and cursing in which we surrender our right to govern our own lives. We in fact naturally think we can will ourselves to voluntarily surrender our lives. But we willingly concede it as a by product of divine justice consuming our own understanding of impartial justice. We peacefully surrender our lives when our anger is consumed in Gods righteous indignation. We voluntarily sacrifice our lives when we accurately mark the enormous gulf between our effective control and Gods absolute control. As long as we live vicariously with a shallow view of God, we will live on the dull level of what is good and bad in our own eyes. When we rise up to Gods ideal line of blessing and cursing we lose ourselves and we are free from regulating our own lives.
