Ps 13 1 How long, O LORD ? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?" When we are delivered, we enter into a relationship with God. God condescends to our desires on our level. The bible designates this enjoying fellowship with God. The Psalmist is speaking to God who manages our circumstances by embracing us with an unfailing love. When the Psalmist experiences success and unity with God, he describes it as a face to face relationship. He properly describes this face to face covenant relationship as dependence on Gods unfailing love. This unfailing love steadfastly remains how God deals with us as a Father.Our fellowship with God is soundly based on His covenant the descriptive name. He is always faithful, kind, long suffering, gentle and loving. These divine names of God are inseparably united with our unique experiences in this world like the glowing fire and cloud. God is ordinarily gathering us in His gracious condescension. The covenant relationship is always grounded firmly in these affectionate names. But the Psalms also teach the unfailing love is pledged to covenant keepers. Consequently, some people look on this as a human covenant. But this is not a lucrative deal or a mutual promise of patient compliance. Comparatively, it is ideologically based upon the mutual security that one experience in a family relationship. The Psalmist does not attempt appeasing God with a reasonable offer. Rather the uninterrupted success is soundly based on adequately compensating the Psalmist graciously according to Gods work of our eternal covenant Mediator. Hence, the Psalmist speaks about mans side in terms of obedience, and he is not talking about a sliding scale in being accepted. But he is saying we are authorized because of divine grace and genuine forgiveness. You see here the Psalmist is repeating the first Psalm with God diligently watching over the righteous. Therefore, this face to face relationship includes the circumstances of tremendous opposition the Psalmist is defying. The formidable enemies who prevent him from inseparably uniting the covenant reality with the extraordinary experience. God has uniquely designed and sustains all necessary things. He carefully manages all necessary circumstances. God can satisfactorily establish our circumstances with the most extraordinary success by unifying the covenant promises with our understandable desires. But because there is active opposition we experience high or low times in our practical lives. Consequently, God can deaden the experienced pain of suffering and increase the unspeakable joy and genuine pleasure in our marked success.
God is the benevolent creator. He has accurately made us like Himself. He uniquely designed the world and communicated it to man as a generous gift.We live in a created world that is completely controlled by God. Therefore, Gods covenant relationship is absolutely successful by glorifying Himself in us. We do not live in a secular but a creative world. We have been miraculously transformed from estimating time as a automated process. That world was crucified in Christ. This altered world is based upon Gods Law, commands, curses, promises and covenants. All of the authoritative pronouncement proportionally represent the tools we speak to invent the extraordinary success of the eternal kingdom. They are like brushes to sketch the authentic picture. We forge our peaceful future by Gods authoritative pronouncements. Hence, Gods success is only accomplished by divine word and Spirit. We must understand the creative world view does not have the same limits as the secular world. In the creative covenant world Gods unifying all things to glorify Himself. God can manufacture anything in our experience from nothing. God can replace the sincere desires of all men at any time. He can formulate the view that determines how other men observe us. God can get rid of a terrible memory and promptly replace it with a pleasant one. God uses His word to determine how we feel and what we vicariously experience in all specific circumstances. He can create our disposition and unify with other people. Hence, God commands many generations together for the purpose of establishing one future generation. We are describing the tools in the Psalms, and are experiencing the radically diverse creative world. You see here the Psalmist is in the middle of sketching his pleasant picture, and he needs more of an outline sketched by God to employ the colors in the picture.
