The Psalmist affectionately calls Elohim his King.He is the God who produces and upholds all things. This is the most interesting Psalm of any because it does not allow any personal descriptions or petty complaints of human struggles. It does not describe the relentless struggle with any of his violent enemies. It is a Psalm that eloquently describes Gods eternal covenant with His saints that goes on through all generations with no equivalent power of opposition. It is a Psalm that describes the commanding height of our unshakable faith which we experience salvation as God recovering us. We have silenced our unreasonable anger and our perverse desire to improperly share in Gods glory. This Psalm remains comfortably the focus of how we should live. The other complaints and the lifelong struggle with sin should not represent our key focus. Ps 145 13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations"

People inadvertently teach the OT describes a nation governed as a Theocracy. But the law in the OT was drafted to govern Israel. Consequently, Israel reasonably maintained a written constitution and not a direct relationship with God like Moses. Even the ceremonials laws realistically were not divine fiats. All of that system was adequately fulfilled in Christ. The divine forgiveness of sins was already won by the coming of Christ. Salvation has always been by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. They maintained the same relationship to the moral law that we do.They had problems subtly manipulating the law for their arbitrary control.

We must understand that this accurate description of Gods eternal kingdom represent a grand vision of the genuine life of Israelite within the concrete walls of Jerusalem. The Old Testament kingdom remain an eternal kingdom that was ruled by a God who acted as a mediator in the comprehensive work of Christ backwards from the cross. In fact the law that established Israel as a civilized nation was gifted to them in the eternal covenant of God. It was present in the sacred fire and the visible cloud. We must understand that all kingdoms are inseparably united in the responsible individual, corporate and national. Therefore, the Palmist is adequately describing Gods absolute rule and the comparative safety that the citizens enjoyed within the walls. In other words Gods moral law is pronounced loud and clear to all nations through the peaceful reign of David.

Consequently, we are reasonably looking at the official description of the capital city in which Gods pronouncements rule over the chosen people and the decadent nations! The precise description of God acting lawfully on behalf of the people in staunchly defending them and adequately providing them with daily gifts. He ruled over the civilized nations from within the established safety of His kingdom. He upheld law by bringing the eternal curses together with His blessing continue to be the genuine desire of all people in all nations through all generations. This is why the Psalms sufficiently establish the independent kingdoms by God direct control over all nations!
