You are my silver lining

drifting through the quiet clouds

Glittering gold in the gray,

you catch the light I almost lost

We run through poppy fields,

red petals under sudden rain

Your lips shine wet and warm,

a treasure I taste again

In your eyes, time forgets its name,

hours melt into a single breath

Under velvet skin you steal my thunder—

and I let it go, gladly,

into you.
