When we say that love takes precedence above all else, we are essentially affirming a fundamental truth that lies at the core of our understanding. Let me take a moment to explain why this is so important. God’s love for us is not something that exists passively or silently, as if it were merely a quiet presence in the background. Instead, He demonstrates His love actively through words—through spoken declarations that reveal His intentions and His heart. His voice itself is an embodiment of love—always spoken, always declared, never wavering. Even when we do not feel His love in a tangible way or when His presence seems distant, we are still called to listen for His voice. Because His love is inseparably connected to His covenant, it is rooted solely in His word—His promises and His declarations. To suggest that love is merely what it appears to be on the surface, without divine words to define and reveal it, is to fundamentally misunderstand its true nature. It is through His spoken words—His descriptions of His love—that we come to understand it deeply and experience it fully. God's love is vast, stretching farther than the highest heavens; it is made evident in His faithfulness, His kindness, His goodness, and His comfort during our times of suffering. He looks upon us with grace, moves swiftly to help us, and reminds us that human help is limited and fleeting. At all times, He stands by our side—our strength, our confidence, our refuge when everything else seems to fail. Even amid adversity, His love remains constant, unwavering, and sure, providing us with hope and security.
