We frequently hold mental images of other people, which we develop through observation and are influenced by our relationships with them. These images create mental boundaries within which we tend to operate, where surprises become rare, and familiarity often leads to complacency or comfort in routine. However, Christ communicates in a way that breaks through these mental boundaries completely. Why does He choose to do this? Because He perceives the complex and detailed inner worlds of each person—the depths and nuances that others cannot see or articulate. His words are uniquely designed to open our eyes and ears, revealing truths that remain hidden from ordinary perception. This divine way of speaking is powerful and intense—amplified and magnified beyond normal understanding. When Christ describes our spirits, He does so with words charged with passion, anger, and love, exposing the raw, extreme realities that lie within us. His language lays bare the true reflection of our souls, piercing beyond superficial appearances and surface-level beliefs. As His words penetrate deeper into our inner being, they expose the very core of who we are, and in doing so, we are led to know Him more intimately. His speech serves as a divine guide, helping us to realign and reshape our inner selves into harmony with His perfect divine design. If we find ourselves truly in Christ, what does that really mean? Since Christ is a person, encountering Him must involve more than just acquiring knowledge about Him; it entails genuine fellowship. He leads us to come to know Him through His Word, but simply understanding Him intellectually isn’t sufficient. True relationship and understanding require applying what we learn—otherwise, our beliefs about Christ might just be projections of our own imagination or desires, rather than the reality of who He is.
