It is utterly impossible for a person to detach himself from these divine affections, regardless of how intense or profound they may be. No external force, no matter how powerful, can tear them away; for they are fundamental, woven into the very essence of his soul. They manifest even in the faintest whisper of longing, even during moments of the greatest weakness or despair. Not even sin itself has the capacity to extinguish these sacred yearnings—these spiritual stirrings remain alive, unquenchable and enduring. And a person who does not currently possess them cannot eliminate or erase them; they persist beyond his grasp, resilient against all opposition. Neither the harshest accusations nor the strongest demons can extinguish these divine desires. Similarly, no righteous judgment—no matter how severe—can diminish or diminish these spiritual affections. They are eternal, ingrained into the very core of his being. These affections form the foundation of his Christian identity; they shape his inner life and define his relationship with God. No circumstances, no external events, can alter them. The deepest desires within a person cannot simply be wished away—they remain steadfast and unwavering. All his defenses, hopes, and efforts rely upon these hidden longings. He cannot retreat into a state of indifference or abandon what he holds within his heart. Even when he observes others immersed in sin and feels that they are more deserving of God's love, he still cannot lose these divine yearnings. For God's power and grace will never forsake a man who clings to them. Therefore, all the trials, suffering, and hardships of earthly life serve only to reveal their necessity. Even when these longings seem faint, distant, or overshadowed, they are indispensable; not even sin can fully extinguish them. A man may fall into darkness and despair, yet these sacred stirrings continue—undeniable and unalterable. If he weeps day and night, overwhelmed by hopelessness and pain, these affections—though they may seem distant—are still present, vital, and unchangeable. It is impossible for him to be otherwise. These longings form the very foundation of hope and faith within him—they are the eternal embers that sustain him amid suffering. No matter what pain he endures, these desires are present; no matter how dire his circumstances, they remain alive within his soul. Whether faced with glory, despair, angelic presence, or demonic assault—nothing can separate a person from these sacred affections.
