I do not believe that my decisions alone dictate whether I will face suffering or be blessed. We must accept a universal truth that often runs counter to the very forces that aim to bring us prosperity and happiness. Throughout history, humanity has been bound by the laws of men—much like the people of Israel during the time of the judges—who would sow their crops with hope, only to see them trampled and destroyed by wicked rulers or unforeseen calamities. Their efforts were often undermined by unseen forces beyond their control. Yet, even in the face of such adversity, we must understand that failure does not have ultimate dominion over us. The world’s destructive tendencies seem to accelerate beyond our capacity to fear or comprehend them, yet we carry behind us the destruction that has already been dealt with and overcome. We are not left to face these struggles alone; we are guided by the Captain of our salvation, who cheers us on from the heavenly realms as we seek refuge in His strength. In Him, we find salvation from the threat of destruction, and we are secure in His everlasting love that never falters. Therefore, it is crucial that we learn to discern what holds true worth in life. Its value far exceeds all the gold and riches that this world offers. The real treasure of life lies in perceiving every gift, every blessing, as coming directly from God's gracious hand. We must acknowledge that, as our Heavenly Father, God will always provide for our needs. Since He is our Creator, He knows us better than we know ourselves—He understands our needs even before we voice them. With just a simple act of His will, He can satisfy the desires of every living creature on earth. Too often, we are led to believe that owning a home, raising children, or holding a secure job makes us righteous in the eyes of God. However, Scripture reminds us that these things—our possessions, our relationships, and even our achievements—are transient. The world we inhabit is passing away, fragile and fleeting by nature. Our Father has chosen to forgive us completely; He has separated our sins from us as far as the east is from the west, so far that they are no longer held against us. Because of this, we are made eternally blameless in His sight, loved by Him without end. The One who judges all has become our Father, and in His love, He cares for us tenderly, providing for us in ways that surpass our understanding.
