As we come before God's throne in worship, we recognize that this throne is actively reordering the events and conditions of His people. We are not only receiving His Word in its power; we are also receiving His gospel work directly on our hearts through the pure message of the gospel, experiencing renewal as if we are before His throne. In this sacred space, God searches our hearts—performing a work on us that surpasses our understanding. The hidden realities within our sins are made clear, revealing the way for us to understand ourselves in the context of our circumstances. God manifests Himself in all His royalty—displaying His power and revealing His divine nature through Christ—and in His Fatherly care, He makes these truths known through His personal voice. His purpose is to search out our hearts and draw us nearer to the truths that govern the universe. Not only does He engage in this divine mystery, but He also sends His Spirit—acting as His divine agent—who works within us as if God Himself is looking into our innermost being, imparting His Spirit and shaping us to become more like Christ. In this process, God searches the depths of our hearts because His Spirit makes us increasingly like His Son. He creates within us a new spirit—our true, divine nature—replacing the old, corrupt spirit (small ‘s’). This transformation is the divine act of destroying the former self and giving us a new identity rooted in Christ. Oh, that we might lift high the glory of God as He truly is, so that we may stand in awe of the divine mystery unfolding from His throne—His work within us, transforming us into living reflections of His divine glory. In our act of worship, we approach God's throne—a throne that is actively involved in shaping and transforming the lives of His people. Here, we do more than just receive His Word with power; we participate in His divine work of renewal, as if we are standing directly before His very throne. The gospel is not simply something we hear; it is something we experience deeply—its transforming power touches our hearts and reveals the divine work already happening within us. God's sovereign reign is most vividly displayed on earth through the worship of His church. Before us, a multitude of heavenly beings stand gazing from eternity—yet their gaze is unlike ours. They do not merely observe from outside; instead, they possess a profound knowledge and understanding of God's infinite glory. These unseen powers are actively at work, serving as divine channels through which God renews the hearts of men. The gap between the messengers and divine authority diminishes when the Word goes forth; in that moment, human efforts are united with divine power. At this throne, God searches our hearts—performing a work beyond our comprehension. Hidden within our sin are mysteries that, in His mercy, illuminate our true selves in light of our circumstances. He comes in regal majesty, demonstrating His power and revealing Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ. His voice—personal and direct—unveils these divine realities, drawing us closer to the truths that govern all creation. Not only does He seek and work within this divine mystery, but He also sends His Spirit—acting as His divine agent—who works within us as if God Himself is peering into our innermost being, imparting His Spirit and shaping us into His likeness. In essence, God probes the depths of our hearts, transforming us into new creations—renewing our spirits (small ‘s’) and replacing our old, corrupt natures with divine ones. This act of conversion involves the divine destruction of our former selves and the birth of a new identity rooted in Christ. Oh, that we might lift high the true glory of God as He is—so that we stand in awe of this unfolding mystery—His throne working within us, transforming us into reflections of His divine glory.
