This moment marks a pivotal point where our new life in Christ intersects profoundly with our ongoing experience within these fallen, broken flesh—a continual and often challenging tension in a world that seems to have lost its way. For these are two separate realms: one rooted in redemption and renewal, the other still under the sway of corruption; one characterized by being justified and transformed, the other by the remnants of the old self. Why should it matter where we direct our attention or what we focus on, if our salvation is secure and assured? Because, despite the certainty of our salvation, these two worlds are not equal in power or influence. They are not in conflict because Christ has already triumphed; rather, they coexist, but the victory has been won on our behalf. Our personhood has been radically changed—we are sanctified, set apart entirely for God's purpose, wrapped in His sovereign care and under His divine authority as our King. Our spiritual struggle does not arise from a contest between two equally powerful forces vying for control; instead, it emerges from the reality that our new nature is rooted in the living Word and the Spirit of God. We are not merely declared to be members of a new kingdom in name; we are also given divine promises, new identities, and a transformed image that shape who we are at the core. Amidst the chaos and upheaval of these last days, our minds tend to become scattered, unfocused, and overwhelmed. Yet, the Bible provides more than fleeting glimpses of what is to come; it is the very voice of God—prophetic, alive, and active. These divine prophecies stand apart from any other writings because they come directly through the voice of Christ Himself. It is within these sacred words that our faith finds its firm foundation, and our security is rooted and anchored. Despite the surrounding tumult and the darkness that seeks to shake our confidence, we cling to the unshakable promise that we will be safe in our Father’s loving care. Still, the human struggle to believe persists—a tension that oscillates between doubt and trust, between uncertainty and steadfastness. When we turn our gaze to Christ, we experience the profound effects of these truths as they converge at the cross. We are called to rest—not in our own strength or efforts, but wholly in Him, free from the weight of self-reliance. God has spoken, and His Word holds supreme authority over all creation. His divine plans are unfolding precisely according to His sovereign will. Yet, in His infinite wisdom, God chooses to work through His people—giving us purpose, involving us in His divine story, and rewarding our faithfulness when all is laid bare before Him. Our security and salvation are encapsulated in the gospel—the good news of Jesus Christ—a message that remains invincible, unchangeable by time or opposition. It is a message that lifts our gaze beyond the fleeting and temporary to the eternal and unshakable, anchoring our souls in the promises of God. The cross stands as the ultimate symbol of love, faithfulness, righteousness, and peace—descending from heaven’s heights and springing forth from the earth. Christ’s reign flows from those heights of heaven down into the depths of our hearts, uniting heaven and earth in divine purpose, bringing reconciliation and hope to all creation.
