When we take that initial step toward God, it results in a complete transformation in His eyes, making us fully justified in His sight. There is no need for any additional forgiveness because it has already been secured through His Son’s sacrifice. Whenever we feel unworthy or inadequate, we only need to turn our thoughts and gaze toward Christ—who was as deserving as anyone could be—and find encouragement and reassurance in His life and death, which have secured everything we need. Our hope remains firmly anchored in Him, and our trust is completely placed in God alone. However, there are those who lack the saving grace and try to undermine the trust we have in God's promises. These individuals believe they can earn God's favor through their own efforts, despite not having received that favor. But we, coming as we are—imperfect and in need—approach God's throne of grace with confidence, knowing that only what God can give us can truly fulfill us. We understand that when God grants His grace, nothing else is necessary; He supplies all that we require for life and salvation. Our only appropriate response is to praise Him from our hearts. We do not rely on human beings or worldly powers because our first step—our initial relationship with God—assures us that He is all we need. In the act of being born again, we become unshaken and steadfast; no external force, not even another person, can truly harm us. We are secure in His hands, trusting His promise to meet our needs. He gives us His Spirit, who teaches us all things, guiding us without the need for human teachers or intermediaries. When we come before Him, our only request is for His grace—undeserved, free favor that cannot be earned nor maintained by our own efforts. We receive this grace freely, especially in moments of weakness, to strengthen us and uphold our faith in His promises. As we approach our Heavenly Father, we surrender ourselves completely—including our struggles and addictions—and He, in turn, grants us more grace. Through this process, we come to realize our absolute dependence on Him and the sufficiency of His grace to sustain and transform us.
