Grace is one of the most challenging lessons to truly accept. Many people give up—not because they have fully overcome their flaws, but because they surrender to them, giving in to the temptations they know they should resist. Others abandon their journey toward God because they refuse to obey what is clearly right and true. Sometimes, our failures are obvious and undeniable, yet we prefer to hide from the truth rather than face it head-on. We convince ourselves that until we fix these shortcomings, we cannot genuinely seek His presence. We think that our visible flaws make us unworthy of His love, or even worse, that Christ might be angry or resentful toward us because of our failings. Would you like me to adjust the tone further or focus on a particular aspect? But the reality is that God deals gently and compassionately with broken sinners. He is the master craftsman, the most skilled healer of our deepest wounds—especially those wounds rooted in our stubbornness and fragility. Over time, I have realized that God's main concern is not our perfection, but our trust and confidence in His grace. When we truly believe in His mercy, He begins to shape and transform our lives according to His divine purpose. Unfortunately, we often have it backwards: we fear that God's work in us will be painful, disruptive, and leave us feeling less joyful. We imagine His timing to be relentless and demanding, when in fact, His greatest desire is to draw us nearer to Him, to build us up from the inside out, and to nurture us with love and care.
