But the unwavering truth is that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His power does not diminish, and His faithfulness remains constant. Remembering the miraculous parting of the Red Sea reminds us of His wonder-working power in our lives. If He could do the impossible then, He can do as He pleases with us now. Our confidence should not rest in our limited abilities but in God's unlimited power and grace. We find true joy and humility in approaching Him through prayer, recognizing that it is only through His work that our lives are renewed. Our experiences of weakness and His ability to intervene are at the heart of our understanding of what true prayer is: a humble reliance on God's power rather than our own. It’s in acknowledging our inability and His omnipotence that we truly grasp the essence of worship and dependence on Him. This truth is exemplified in the biblical account of the Israelites at the Red Sea. When they found themselves trapped with the Egyptian army closing in, it was not their confidence or strength that saved them. It was God's miraculous act—He parted the waters, creating a path of escape. Once the Israelites crossed safely, the waters closed over their enemies, destroying them entirely. The problem wasn't that they doubted God's power on the other side; in fact, they had seen His mighty act firsthand and were convinced of His greatness. Yet, despite witnessing God's miraculous deliverance, they soon forgot His power, became fearful, and began to complain, doubting whether He would come through for them again.
