The God of radiant glory shaped us as eternal souls,

He reigns in timeless majesty, where Sovereign Trinity holds.
His sacred breath ignited man, an everlasting flame,
In His divine likeness formed, transcendent, whole, untamed.
With mind, will, heart entwined, the soul in peace did dwell,
In Eden’s gentle harmony, no discord’s shadow fell.
But sin’s black serpent struck, its venom broke the calm,
Each faculty defiled, enslaved, beneath its cruel psalm.
Mind, will, and heart, enchained within sin’s iron grip,
Faced the Sovereign Judge’s throne, where justice does not slip.
The soul, once heaven’s heir, was cast to dread’s domain,
Where hell’s relentless pyre roars in everlasting pain.
Eternal yet confined, the soul in anguish cried,
Its mind in shadows veiled, its will in fetters tied.
Wild emotions stormed, a tempest on the soul’s frontier,
Yet darkened mind, unyielding, claimed the throne of fear.
Passions cloaked salvation’s call, dimmed its piercing ray,
The mind, blind to grace’s glow, chased reason’s fleeting sway.
Yet the soul’s deep will, though faint, stirred with fervent plea,
Its yearning cry, most radiant, sought liberty to see.
But works, self-forged and frail, could not the chains undo,
For pride obscures the Christ, the only plea that’s true.
Self-rule spawns bitter woe, a restless, hollow state,
Faith alone, in God’s sweet grace, unlocks the soul’s true gate.
My mind, secure within the Potter’s gentle hand,
Is molded by His sovereign will to His eternal plan.
A will to walk in truth now frees my spirit’s core,
Upheld by Holy Spirit’s might, who reigns forevermore.
O sweet emotions, kindled now, my soul’s exultant fire,
They blaze with holy fervor for God’s redeeming desire.
O Spirit, hovering o’er the deep, creation’s primal song,
Illumine my soul’s ardent hope, keep salvation strong.
