We have been freed from the heavy burden of sin through the sacrificial penalty that Christ willingly bore on our behalf. Christ endured the just punishment that we rightfully deserved, taking our place so that we might be spared from the consequences of our transgressions. When we doubt the sufficiency of Christ to shield us from the devastating repercussions of the law—which brings death and punishment—we inadvertently bring a curse upon ourselves. God, in His infinite wisdom, designed the universe according to His eternal principles of justice and faithfulness, establishing all things through the authoritative declaration of His Word. The very fabric of reality is woven together by God’s divine pronouncement, and every aspect of our existence is shaped by this foundational truth. We are no longer evaluated by the harsh and often brutal standards of this violent world. Instead, our understanding of God’s teachings—especially regarding the nature of sin, the vastness of divine mercy, and the promise of complete healing—must align with the just principles of the law. The law serves a dual purpose: it not only punishes those who violate its commands but also rewards those who adhere to its stipulations.
