Acting as an independent and benevolent being, God stands in opposition to the wicked plans of the immoral—not only because of their flaws but also because they are constantly seeking notoriety and recognition. It is widely accepted that God does not allow anyone to validate their erroneous beliefs about Him. Yet, it is ultimately the foolish individual who, by rejecting divine grace, ends up inflicting harm upon their more sensible neighbor. This intricate interplay between divine grace, human flaws, and the pursuit of righteousness highlights the necessity of seeking God's guidance as we navigate our lives. In the Old Testament, God conveyed timeless truths through deep and impactful lessons while deliberately withholding specific information. This understanding forms the foundation of my unwavering Calvinist beliefs; I firmly believe that God leads those who are inherently flawed and sinful. However, He does so with great care, refraining from abrupt actions that could harm the vulnerable, much like how one would treat a bruised reed. Within this framework, God takes on the role of our Shepherd, ensuring that the tasks He assigns us are accompanied by the divine strength and empowerment necessary for us to accomplish them. By prioritizing the support and upliftment of one another, we can steer clear of taking matters into our own hands and causing additional harm. This raises an intriguing question: why is it that an arrogant individual is granted grace that is unearned rather than deserved? The answer lies in the intrinsic flawed nature of humanity; no one is inherently good. Instead, it is God who holds the ultimate authority to freely give gifts and to withdraw them at His will. The God who possesses complete freedom calls upon humanity to align themselves with His divine will. Divine intervention is essential for meaningful human action, as God represents the ultimate source of justice and goodness. His involvement is crucial before humans can engage in any endeavor, as He provides us with the abilities and blessings that we are then expected to exercise responsibly.
