This sacred promise is enshrined in the covenant of creation, much like an elected leader making a formal declaration of intent to succeed. But how did God faithfully guide humanity, equipping it with extraordinary potential for success? He achieved this through the sacred seal granted to the sovereign. This divine endorsement not only legitimizes the ruler's authority but also serves as a reminder of the divine presence in governance, ensuring that the king is continually aligned with heavenly wisdom as he navigates the complexities of leadership and the challenges that lie ahead. How can a just ruler ensure a flourishing reign? He is enlightened by God, who empowers him through the weight of his proclamations. In the realm of society, God stands unrivaled; His eternal counsel serves as the foundation for effective governance throughout the world. How does He exercise His sovereignty? He crafted a flawless document, one that cannot be invalidated. He formed a covenant with humanity that is permanent and unbreakable. His authoritative word, once uttered, remains eternally potent and cannot be rendered void. In a single moment, God could have transformed the primordial earth, rejuvenated humanity, and ruled without the stain of sin. Yet, in His infinite kindness, He entrusted humanity with the stewardship of the earth, granting them complete dominion over it. In an ideal situation, the seal emerged as a powerful emblem of mutual agreement, effectively conveying to the king a heavenly assurance of exceptional divine protection. In his modesty, the king sought spiritual insight regarding the right moment to initiate military action and posed questions about the likelihood of triumph. This exchange illustrated God's authority over worldly affairs, revealing itself through the steadfast application of divine law, especially in the context of defeating Israel's foes. The holy seal symbolizes not just a pact of understanding but also the power to deliver judgments that are strengthened by divine validation.
