It is essential that we earnestly strive to be filled with the Holy Spirit, who serves as a guiding light for the minds of the faithful through the wisdom found in the Scriptures. We should immerse ourselves in the name of Jesus, engaging in contemplative meditation that evokes a deep and profound longing within our hearts. This yearning should be akin to that of an Olympic athlete, who dedicates countless hours to grueling training in preparation for a brief, yet pivotal, competition. As stated in Luke 1:65, "The neighbors were filled with awe, and all the hill country of Judea was discussing these remarkable events." Indeed, being filled with the Holy Spirit naturally leads to inspiring testimonies and experiences. However, it is not uncommon for some individuals to embrace a more unpredictable, "Wild West" approach to their spiritual journey, which can lead to confusion and inconsistency. Our primary aim should be on the refinement of our doctrine and beliefs. A careful study of the Psalms reveals that God encourages us to engage in rational discourse, inviting us to present our true selves before Him. The Psalms act as a powerful channel for introspection, allowing us to delve deep into the intricacies of our inner lives. Through this thorough exploration, we can understand how God nurtures genuine engagement, providing us the space to examine and articulate our authentic thoughts and emotions.
