We should be wary of those self-proclaimed motivators who suggest that our struggles are merely signs that we should relinquish something in our lives. Even the perfect man, hanging on the cross, experienced feelings of confinement and despair. He witnessed the forces of evil closing in around Him, and despite being sinless, He cried out to His Father, pleading for salvation from the depths of death’s grip. At that moment, He reached a profound psychological low that no one should have to endure. Yet, in the midst of His anguish, He cried out, seeking solace from His Father, and ultimately, He was saved. It may not happen immediately—perhaps not tomorrow, next week, or even within the year—but rest assured, God hears every cry and collects them as precious offerings. God is fundamentally loving; He embodies love itself. He will not forsake you. There will come a day filled with light and hope. All you need to do is listen and be open with Him. Do not fall prey to the belief that He has turned away from you. Share with Him the burdens that are accumulating within you. Present your case daily and await the unfolding of His promises with hopeful anticipation. This scenario reflects our human experience. We are inherently flawed, often grappling with doubt and disbelief. Many people proclaim their trust in God’s love, using it as a reason to glorify Him and find joy in His presence. This leads me to ponder: why do we allow ourselves to dwell in sadness? Why can we not embrace the joys that life offers—the simple pleasures of nourishment and recreation—in a way that honors God without inflicting harm upon ourselves? Why can we not relish each moment free from guilt, sorrow, pain, or fear? The answer lies in the reality that we live in a world that stands in stark opposition to the very principles God has established. The resistance to Christ’s mission was palpable; efforts were made to undermine His purpose of salvation. He was constantly surrounded by hostility, mockery, and malice, with those around Him striving to extinguish His life before He could fulfill His divine calling, which ultimately required the Father to turn away from Him. Nevertheless, Christ emerged victorious over death itself. His Father provided a shield during His most challenging moments, illustrating that even in times of extreme vulnerability, He faced the fiercest opposition but was never abandoned. God does not demand that we always find peace in the circumstances He allows in our lives. His true peace and comfort are found in our willingness to draw near to Him, even as we construct narratives that suggest He has abandoned us in our time of need. When feelings of anger and frustration well up within us, it becomes crucial to surrender these emotions to God. We must openly express that the weight of our burdens feels insurmountable, that we are encircled by the wicked, and that our faith appears so fragile that we fear it may break. We might feel ensnared in a kind of bondage, desperately seeking His liberation. However, as we traverse through life, we inevitably encounter trials and tribulations. The burdens of this world begin to weigh heavily upon us, and we find ourselves grappling with the scorn of the wicked. We bear witness to the pain and disappointments of those who have placed their trust in the frailty of human strength. In this tumultuous journey, we may come to understand that God sometimes communicates in ways that seem foreign to us, leading us to question our understanding of His words and intentions. Instead of nurturing a personal faith, we become preoccupied with the experiences of others, comparing their joys to our own sorrows. This often leads us to a place of deep despair, making us feel isolated and adrift.
