We do not rely on modern weaponry for our security; instead, our motivations for self-defense are deeply rooted in the ongoing implications of divine retribution. When we partake in just warfare, our objectives reflect a dispassionate yet powerful defense of moral law, which is anchored in the concept of eternal consequences. Consequently, it becomes evident that God has made it impossible for individuals to argue for the complete eradication of all opposition for valid reasons without invoking the concept of divine condemnation. The divine Creator did not need any instrumental means to create a harmonious existence from nothingness. The universe did not come into existence through pre-existing entities; rather, it was brought forth by the unequivocal declaration of the moral authority of the Sovereign who oversees all creation. God does not depend on human weapons, military strategies, or the capabilities of human hands. The omnipotent God, who meticulously orchestrates the existence of the Earth, is not reliant on prophetic declarations. So, why does God grant nations the means to protect themselves? He has designated humanity to exercise dominion over the Earth, provided they adhere to the inherent moral law, bestowing individuals with lasting strength through divine edicts. The fundamental structure and nature of humanity were articulated by God at the very moment of creation. The entirety of reality is molded by divine prophecy, expressed through laws, covenants, curses, eternal decrees, statutes, and promises that empower. God has generously endowed the Glorious Saints with the essence of all fundamental truths conveyed in authoritative proclamations. Without the assurance of eternal repercussions, no responsible individual would dare to confront the formidable adversaries of God; for the law that forbids murder—upholding the sanctity of God's creation—exists alongside the command for the punishment of wrongdoers. The same law that honors humanity also serves as the moral compass that denounces immoral behavior. In the absence of a clear declaration of the Eternal Curse, humanity would lack the incentive to rigorously uphold moral law and dismantle organized dissent against the nation. Moreover, individuals would not wrestle with the ethical justifications necessary to eliminate opposition for legitimate reasons. The only recourse provided by the divine is the declaration of eternal damnation upon idolaters, which ultimately compels us to engage in lawful conflict to eradicate them. When we contemplate the notion of Eternal Curses, we must set aside personal feelings, as our commitment to the covenant demands the removal of official adversaries within the framework of this legal warfare. This viewpoint resonates with the Psalmist's declaration that he does not place his trust in military strategies or modern weaponry, but rather in moral law, covenants, curses, eternal decrees, comprehensive statutes, and authoritative proclamations. Thus, the Psalmist exemplifies a profound respect for the lawful authority that rests solely with God.
