So why do we sometimes place our hope in the flawed systems of this world, where the value of individuals and things is measured according to man’s misguided standards? It is often because we mistakenly believe that the outcome of our labor will earn us acceptance and worth in accordance with God’s standards. However, we must remember that God owns everything and gives freely to all. If God did not grant us these gifts freely, there would be no manifestation of His unfailing love. Instead of being our Father, He would merely assume the role of a judge, holding us accountable to His standards of righteousness and justice, which we could never hope to meet on our own. Psalm 33:4-5 states, "For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love." This passage highlights the profound difference between how God measures the value of salvation and how humanity assesses the worth of creation. While humans often assign value based on productivity and tangible achievements, God evaluates the true worth of all His creation through the lens of His own beauty and the immense love He holds for Himself and for us. It is crucial to recognize that no one can share in His glory; it is solely His. Our hope does not rest on our ability to achieve or meet the lofty standards of God’s righteousness and justice; rather, it is securely anchored in the perfect and complete work of Christ. We do not cling to a future salvation that is uncertain or contingent; instead, we embrace a perfect salvation that is already ours because of what Christ has accomplished. We inhabit a kingdom enveloped in God’s unfailing love, which surrounds us and nourishes our spirits. Yet, in His infinite wisdom and grace, God has secured a salvation that brings us into a familial relationship with Him, one that is unencumbered by barriers. His chosen ones are cherished according to the love and success that God graciously achieves for His own pleasure and glory. When we are saved, God opens His arms wide to embrace us, providing all that we need for our ultimate good. This is why we can proclaim with confidence that the earth is indeed filled with His unfailing love! God's establishment of salvation is rooted in His perfect standards of righteousness and justice. Unlike humanity, which often operates under flawed systems and lesser standards, God cannot accept any work that falls short of His divine perfection. This leads to the understanding that God transcends the typical supply-and-demand dynamics of our world. He takes it upon Himself to reorder all of humanity's efforts and endeavors. This transformation is guided by the standard that He alone has set forth through His word, which serves as the only acceptable measure for ordering our salvation. Since we are saved according to the criteria laid out in God’s word, and because this word has been validated by His own works, the earth is therefore filled with His unfailing love!
