Receiving divine knowledge is a precious gift bestowed upon us through salvation. It begins with the hearing of the word, which is a form of knowledge, followed by the conviction of our sins by the Spirit. This knowledge also grants us spiritual insight, enabling us to perceive ourselves truthfully before God and to acknowledge Christ as our ultimate source of hope. This comprehension of Christ is crucial for our journey towards sanctification. Regrettably, many individuals today prioritize faith over knowledge, viewing their belief in Christ as the primary aspect of their Christian identity. This flawed mindset results in a cycle of erroneous thinking, where rationality is often dismissed in matters of religion. In many fields, individuals diligently acquire the requisite expertise to excel in their respective roles. However, the realm of religion often sees a lack of emphasis on the pursuit of divine wisdom and ongoing spiritual growth. External influences, such as skepticism towards gospel beliefs and an over reliance on scientific explanations, can divert our attention from exploring fundamental questions about the universe's origins, the intricacies of causality, and the transformative power of the cross in shaping our worldview.
