It is crucial to acknowledge that if our attention were solely directed towards God, He may opt to withdraw from us, rendering Himself unapproachable, or perceive us as already fulfilled in Him and lacking nothing else. As previously stated, there must be a harmonious equilibrium in this viewpoint. Steve B underscores that ultimately, the crux of the matter lies in our individual connection with God.

The supreme authority within the church is God, who unites us for the purpose of honoring and finding joy in Him for eternity. Merely recognizing His sovereignty without fostering relationships with one another would impede our ability to fully grasp His divine purpose. Although God is capable of fulfilling all our needs independently, He chooses to meet us where we are to demonstrate His love and concern for us. It is insufficient to simply acknowledge His sovereignty; we must also value His individual relationship with each of us.

Nevertheless, we find ourselves in the presence of an omnipotent Deity who merits all accolades and reverence, and who possesses a profound understanding of our innermost beings. Through diverse means, this Deity unveils and tackles the intrinsic truths residing within our hearts. It is imperative for us to actively interact with these truths in order to achieve a profound sense of assurance and conviction in our beliefs.

Engaging in prayer, studying the Bible, building connections with others, and partaking in sacraments are all avenues through which we can encounter and take pleasure in God. Our prayers are fervent as we believe in offering Him our complete devotion. Delving into Scripture enables us to continually ponder its teachings and earnestly seek God. Through fellowship, we utilize our skills to honor God and assist others in discovering joy in Him, alleviating the pain of isolation and rejection that many of us encounter. God does not abandon us to navigate life on our own, but instead provides us with a community where we can encounter His truth and undergo transformation. The concept of assurance operates in a similar way.
