Certain desires are inherent and innate, such as the fundamental human necessities for food, shelter, and social connections, while others are influenced by personal encounters and engagements with the environment. These desires can be swayed and controlled by external influences. Various systems and bodies, such as education, political campaigns, and advertising, are structured to generate and mold our desires. For example, corporations frequently utilize marketing strategies to link their products with appealing characteristics or experiences, like utilizing attractive individuals to endorse a specific brand of beer. Our prior encounters with products can also impact our future inclinations towards them. Society collectively employs a system of rewards and penalties to reinforce specific desires and discourage others, ultimately shaping our actions. The human will is a complex and intricate interplay of conflicting desires and ambitions, resulting in a disordered internal state.

While our actions are motivated by personal desires, we maintain the belief that we possess the agency to fulfill these desires through our free will, selecting what brings us the most satisfaction. We can engage in these activities without transgressing moral boundaries. Simultaneously, it is believed that God utilizes the resources of the world to offer us high-quality goods for our enjoyment. There are two distinct realms, each with its own specific function.
