Two sins that I am especially cautious in avoiding due to their potential for causing prolonged suffering are those which undermine my confidence in presenting my prayers to God and trusting in His ability to fulfill my desires. These sins can give rise to internal discord and conflicting desires within individuals, making it difficult for God to answer their prayers as He is dedicated to upholding justice and protecting the vulnerable. It is crucial to abstain from these sins in order to maintain harmony and clarity in our relationship with God.

God has established institutions with the purpose of fostering their prosperity through a singular intention. The act of violating a covenant is identified as a sin that can lead to internal discord and turmoil within an individual. Upholding our commitments to our covenants allows us to exhibit a sense of cohesion in the eyes of God. By following His laws and fostering unity among individuals, God promotes a sense of harmony. Sustaining unity within a marriage is not a daunting challenge, as it is underpinned by the boundaries set by God's laws that serve to safeguard and fortify familial relationships.

Salvation can be conceptualized as a type of deliverance or rescue, requiring no ongoing effort on our part that may cause us to underestimate its significance. Though salvation is a straightforward concept, its implications are multifaceted. The efficacy of salvation hinges on our longing for emancipation and release. Analogously, akin to the security and commitment found in a marriage covenant, the allure of straying and being unfaithful can jeopardize our spiritual welfare.

It is common for individuals to underestimate the importance of their relationship with God and become complacent in their faith, exhibiting skepticism towards the ease with which they receive divine favor. This attitude often leads them to prioritize worldly possessions over spiritual fulfillment, posing a significant obstacle to their adherence to Christian principles. Consequently, many individuals overlook the inherent simplicity and protective nature of salvation, failing to recognize its ability to shield them from the tumultuous nature of the world. By neglecting to uphold their commitment to a faithful God, individuals may find themselves susceptible to feelings of ennui and may be tempted to engage in destructive behaviors or thoughts. Ultimately, deviating from the covenant with God can open the door to violence and negativity in one's life.

Another significant transgression pertains to the level of influence we permit our children to be exposed to. While I advocate for the principle of Christian liberty and refraining from exerting control over others, I believe that a different standard should be applied when it concerns children. The choices and environments they encounter in their formative years can have enduring impacts on their development. Instances of rebellious conduct among teenagers often lead me to attribute responsibility to their parents for failing to provide proper guidance. This represents a unique scenario where parents can be held answerable for their children's behavior. Teenage rebellion lacks valid justification, with the family unit playing a pivotal role in shaping a child's beliefs and conduct. Children tend to assimilate their parents' beliefs and values merely through proximity, akin to acquiring a philosophical contagion. It is imperative for parents to be actively engaged in their children's lives to safeguard them from detrimental external influences. Rather than seeking refuge outside the family structure, we should acknowledge the protective and guiding framework established by God within the family unit. By maintaining unity and strength as a family, we can evade the snares of the world and receive the blessings and safeguarding that God pledges to those who remain steadfast.
