This ongoing debate has been a significant point of contention for an extended period, with no resolution in sight. The disagreement revolves around the alignment of beliefs with actions, particularly regarding the existence of God's sovereignty. One side argues that belief in God's sovereignty is a mere illusion, while the other side, to which I belong, staunchly defends the idea that God's will influences our lives. The introduction of the concept of curses into the discussion has only intensified the debate, with accusations of being a misguided Christian being exchanged. In these moments, I stand firm in defending my beliefs, refusing to yield.

In my scholarly perspective, I hold the belief that genuine change can only transpire through divine intervention rather than adherence to societal norms of morality, which may diverge from Calvinist principles. There exists ongoing discourse between individuals professing to possess an active faith and those who deem us as passive, yet I have noticed that the potency of one's Christian life is not contingent upon the doctrinal framework one adheres to. Those who prioritize fault-finding in others over introspection often exhibit a tendency towards criticism. It is a common human inclination to fixate on changing others instead of addressing our own flaws.

The impact of curses is profound, as they lead individuals to feel a sense of complete freedom while also following God's timing for change. However, many struggle with this level of independence, as the instinct for self-preservation often takes over. People often seek ways to protect themselves, such as buying weapons and taking responsibility for their actions. Society has established laws and norms to govern behavior, but true progress requires personal growth and introspection. Embracing uncertainty can be intimidating, but it is important to recognize our limitations and seek spiritual guidance. Different belief systems have varying perspectives on helplessness, with Calvinists highlighting the role of grace in salvation. Ultimately, we must acknowledge our reliance on divine intervention and understand that our actions alone cannot secure salvation. Instead, we should humbly accept the gifts of grace and strive to align ourselves with eternal principles.
