"We humbly acknowledge, O LORD, that all glory belongs to your name, for it is your love and faithfulness that deserve all praise. The nations question the presence of our God, but we know that he reigns in heaven, executing his will with sovereignty and power."

This Psalm beautifully illustrates the unwavering love and protection that God shows towards His chosen people. He has not only made a covenant with us to ensure our safety, but He has also provided us with the means to be freed from the trials and tribulations of this world. The Psalmist encourages us to shift our focus from ourselves to God, acknowledging that He is the ultimate source of everything in our lives. If God were unable to turn even the worst situations in our favor, His love would be called into question. And if He were to be blamed for our suffering, it would be a contradiction of His character as a loving and faithful God. By recognizing that God is the one orchestrating all events in our lives, we can rest assured that His love and faithfulness will always prevail.

The concept of distancing oneself from sorrows and making them impersonal is conveyed through the expression of complaints and curses. The issue arises of how a sinful individual can approach a Holy God and present justifications for their actions. The Psalmist suggests that all individuals, tainted by universal corruption, deserve immediate judgement. However, through God incarnating, dying, and being resurrected, He has taken on the sins of His chosen people. This act of justification provides a foundation for individuals to argue against being treated as the wicked. Essentially, God has allowed individuals to express their sorrows and grievances as if they are being unfairly treated, enabling them to approach Him with honesty and openness. By reflecting His own freedom, God has granted individuals the freedom to be genuine in His presence.

It is remarkable that believers in God have a unique advantage over non-believers, as God has humbled Himself to have a relationship with us as equals. Through this fellowship, we can share our emotions and have them transformed by His divine attributes. Through the accessible language of Christ, we can communicate in a way that aligns our souls with His will, leading to a deeper understanding of God's ways. This transformation process deepens our desires and shapes us into the image of Christ. Despite our current limited perception, we look forward to fully experiencing God's presence and seeing Him face to face in the future.
