We find ourselves in the realm of God, where we are perceived as resembling Christ who has transcended to the heavens. Previously lost and aimless, we now seek shelter in His abode. Christ serves not only as our rescuer but also as our kin, while our ultimate authority is our father, who judges all. Despite past adversities, we now feel safe and shielded within God's dwelling. Former threats now remain outside the confines of our familial sanctuary. Hence, we take comfort in continuously seeking God's direction and safeguard as we traverse life's journey.
The poet uses a comparison between the new relationship and the fellowship between Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. In this comparison, Adam and Eve freely communicated their deepest desires with God, experiencing a perfect unity with Him where there was no conflict. They only desired what God desired, but as a result of sin and corruption, maintaining this perfect harmony with God's will became unattainable. Even when we deviate from God's will, we are unable to achieve the same level of unity with Him as Adam and Eve did in the garden. Sin creates a divide between us and God, and it is His responsibility to seek us out and help us overcome our weaknesses. In the current era, God continues to support us in our struggles against sin and extends His mercy and compassion to us.
