In contrast, individuals often grapple with ambiguity as they traverse life's complexities and make decisions, operating under the conviction that divine guidance facilitates learning from past errors and serves as a deterrent to their recurrence. Genuine autonomy is not synonymous with mere adherence to regulations, but rather hinges on the apprehension of the insights and personal development inherent in the act of decision-making.

When we consistently view our obedience as lacking, it may appear that nonbelievers have an advantage in this world as they are not bound by the concept of obedience. However, as followers of Christ, we recognize that it is His obedience that has justified us, and therefore our behaviors should mirror His example. Our identities are rooted in Christ's likeness, offering us the opportunity to influence our future circumstances. The adage "You have not because you ask not" underscores the idea that individuals who have experienced profound forgiveness are often the most loving. Ultimately, our ongoing connection with Christ and His forgiveness should motivate us to love in the same manner.
