The most challenging individuals to help are typically our own family members. As adults, there are complexities involving privacy and personal identity that can make it difficult to offer advice or receive it from those who are closest to us. It is important to not take this personally. It is interesting to note that strong and healthy family relationships often involve a sense of unity in refraining from passing judgement. I have previously discussed the importance of God's intention for us to have an extended family. He places the lonely in families and provides us with father figures and friends who play a significant role in our growth and development. I can personally attest to the friends who have fulfilled this role in my life. Furthermore, I believe that the foundation of a righteous family unit is essential for us to effectively rule the earth. God continually works to strengthen and maintain families, and I incorporate this belief into my teachings on the power of blessings and curses as a means of creating positive change.
