Abundance shall grace our storehouses, as every conceivable provision fills our barns. Our fields shall teem with a multitude of sheep, multiplying by the thousands and tens of thousands. Our robust oxen shall labor tirelessly, hauling heavy loads with unwavering strength. In this idyllic state, our walls shall remain unbreached, captivity shall not befall us, and the distressing cries of anguish shall not echo through our streets. Indeed, it is a state of utmost blessedness for the people who experience such prosperity, for their devotion lies in the divine guidance of the LORD. In the youthful vigor of our sons, they shall flourish like meticulously cultivated plants, while our daughters shall embody the grace and strength of exquisitely carved pillars, adorning the splendor of a regal abode.
The history of redemption is a manifestation of God's faithfulness to His covenant, as He works to dismantle the flawed systems of humanity and bring about spiritual flourishing through His chosen people. The family is not simply a governing entity, but a display of God's glory within His overarching universal plan that has been established since eternity. It is important to take a step back and see how God is confronting opposition through His covenant family in a universal perspective.
It is imperative that we resist the urge to diminish the significance of these diverse institutions by subjecting them to human authority. We must heed the caution from the Bible that by limiting human freedom, we risk overlooking God's intentions within the broader framework of His universal reign. The redemption described in this Psalm is achieved only through triumph, as man is designed by God to further His kingdom by exercising their authority as His representatives. Any alternative perspective is merely a practical solution to these challenges and will not promote genuine liberty.
