We recognize that the gifts we receive come from a God who has already predetermined our circumstances. It is natural for us to experience periods of suffering, although I don't believe God takes pleasure in our pain. However, He works in every situation to encourage us to find blessings in small things and to support others going through similar circumstances. Just as God promises to provide for our needs, we must understand that it's not solely through focusing on His word and purpose, but also through experiencing the peace and victory He offers. We should remember that the Christian life involves a genuine connection to reality, where we encounter the effects of God's word rather than relying solely on the word itself. The Spirit works within us, using His word to communicate directly to us, guiding us to experience joy and praise that pleases God. In this way, the Christian life is not merely a collection of good things, but a testament to the future reality of salvation that speaks to us. God truly communicates with us as a loving Shepherd. We should recognize that our struggle is not against human beings, but against spiritual forces in the heavenly realms. Therefore, our resistance is not directed towards the forces of evil and the worldly system itself, but against the Devil, making the resistance to the world an indirect one. Our success can only be achieved through the power of God's word and Spirit, as all other means are driven by our own human desires. Although there may be contributing factors, God has given gifts to humanity in a way that prevents individuals from claiming them as their own merit. Instead, we are required to live as if these gifts are not a reward for our goodness, but rather a manifestation of God's own goodness. God, in His infinite wisdom, has chosen to display His goodness for His own glory, leaving no room for individuals to prove that they are deserving of what they have received. Every person stands before God, fully aware that He has the absolute freedom to do as He pleases. We offer praise to God not based on our response to His gifts, but on His free exercise of bringing glory to Himself. It is when we are most pleased to give God all the glory that we experience true freedom in the exercise of the gifts He has freely bestowed upon us.
