We inhabit a world that exudes power and grandeur, where our beliefs shape the very fabric of our existence. I witnessed this firsthand during the devastating hurricane Andrew, when, prior to God's decisive intervention, I had constructed a wall within my humble trailer. Armed with determination and fervor, we can navigate our paths without succumbing to anxiety, for the footsteps of the faithful hold the key to the advancement of Christ's kingdom on Earth. Whether it be divine judgment or the desire to bestow blessings upon society, we, as the children of kings, bring about peace and manifest our resolute determination in both positive and negative circumstances. Following the destruction of my trailer by Andrew's mighty winds, I returned to find a solitary wall standing amidst the wreckage, filling me with unwavering confidence in a time where confidence was scarce. Such is the unwavering love of God, who never fails us. With conviction, we can declare, "I shall not be shaken," as we embody the reality wherever our feet tread.
This is the reason why, as we look towards the future where we will inherit all that Christ achieved through His death and resurrection, we continue to navigate through life in the present. It is important to remember that our Savior once walked on this earth, bringing healing, love, salvation, and even suffering wherever He went. Through His suffering, He both judged and loved all of mankind, whether they were believers or not. Christ, in His infinite grace, sent His Spirit to be our comforter, ensuring that wherever we go, there is potential for salvation to be brought to that place. Just as the apostles wiped the dust off their feet when leaving a city that rejected the kingdom of God as a symbolic act of earthly judgment, we too must understand the power we have been given through Christ and the Holy Spirit to impact the world for good. Wherever we go, we have the ability to bring peace and joy, whether it be for judgment or salvation in the end. Ultimately, we have the responsibility to bring the gospel of peace in the name of Christ, knowing that our actions can determine the fate of this earth. At the end of it all, we may find ourselves with the blood of the wicked on our feet or walking on streets of gold and precious stones, depending on how we choose to use the power given to us.
