I concur with the previous assertion, yet I hold the belief that we must not forsake the scriptures, the church, or the sacred rituals. Though it is conceivable that we may find ourselves in a prolonged period of abstaining from attending church due to the negative influence present. I am aware that in the annals of history, God exiled Israel on numerous occasions, perhaps even more frequently than their visits to the temple, and He bestowed His divine presence to safeguard them. I believe that God is closest to us when society is most askew. I have personally encountered the pinnacle of worship during periods when I was not affiliated with a formal church. However, I am presently attending one. I hold the conviction that our contemporary society is no longer governed by a patriarchal structure, but rather afflicted by an ailment that hinders our unity. Each individual will contend vehemently for their own righteousness, yet it is a desolate predicament when these customs persist for several generations.
