The biggest obstacle to aligning oneself with God is the state of sin. There are external forces that hinder humans from fully worshiping and glorifying God as they were intended to. This struggle is evident in the pursuit of worship. We may reach moments of profound pleasure in God, only to find ourselves grappling to maintain that level of devotion. This is not solely due to our own sinful actions, but also the internal corruption within us that opposes God's desires for us to wholeheartedly give ourselves to Him. We still experience feelings of sorrow and pain. One perspective on wisdom is that it emphasizes human freedom and the power of choice. However, I believe this is a misconception that is prevalent in American culture. The true purpose of wisdom literature is to guide individuals towards finding their ultimate happiness in a spiritual connection with God. This can only be achieved through the cultivation of one's innate talents and abilities. The wisdom books provide guidance on how to infuse the supernatural into one's own life. This is where the wisdom books come into play. They teach us that true happiness lies in dwelling in the love of God, so that we have no desire for other sources of fulfillment. In essence, it is possible for us to reach a state of transparency, where we are drawn out of our own selves. The wisdom books go beyond providing temporary emotional boosts during worship. They impart an understanding of how to create something enduring and unbreakable. When we experience transparency, we can perceive that all the events in our lives are purposefully orchestrated to lead us to this elevated form of worship. Through wisdom, our understanding is enlightened, and we come to realize that we are participating in God's grand plan for our lives. It is important to further elaborate on the opposition that arises in this process.
