His love for those who fear him is as high as the heavens are above the earth. It is vast and mighty. To fear him means to revere him and hold him in high regard. He removes our transgressions from us as far as the east is from the west. Our transgressions are like acts of revolt or rebellion, and he takes them away from us completely. The LORD knows our nature and remembers that we are mere dust. He remembers our infirmities and forgets our sins. As for mankind, our days are as fleeting as grass and flowers in the field. We flourish for a moment, but the wind blows over us and we are gone. Our existence fades away, and even the place we once occupied remembers us no more. The LORD is a compassionate and gracious deity, slow to anger and overflowing with love. His compassion is akin to pity, and his patience is akin to longsuffering. He does not accuse us forever or hold onto his anger indefinitely. Instead, he treats us with mercy and grace, not repaying us according to our sins. I offer my highest praise to the LORD, O my soul; every fiber of my being praises his holy name. In this moment of apostrophe, I turn away from my audience to address God himself, the LORD Jehovah. I acknowledge the significance of his name, which is set apart and reveals his saving and defending nature. However, the LORD's love for those who fear him is everlasting. It extends from eternity to eternity. His righteousness also extends to their children's children. The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. Let all his angels praise the LORD, the mighty ones who carry out his commands and obey his word. Let all his works praise the LORD throughout his dominion, displaying his sovereignty. The LORD has made known his ways to Moses and his deeds to the people of Israel. He reveals the esoteric reasons behind his actions to Moses, while the people witness his exoteric acts. They are like children who observe their father's actions. I implore my soul to continue praising the LORD and to never forget the countless benefits he bestows upon us. He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases. He redeems our lives from despair and adorns us with love and compassion. These benefits are the result of his dealings with us, as he chooses to pass over our iniquities and redeem us from bondage through his power and tender mercies.
